Which program is best for you?
- The main activity is the building of a team website in competition
with other teams.
- Aimed at primary and secondary schools students (age 7-18)
- Emphasizes highly collaborative activities and tasks to be performed
within a certain timeline.
- Requires three partner schools from three different countries (to
be assigned by the project after the application period). Teams from
previous Virtual Classrooms will be broken up and reassigned to work
with other schools to assure everyone involved has reasonably equivalent
ability to work together.
- Requires a great deal of teacher participation and facilitation.
- Requires the teacher(s) to have a certain degree of technical skill
and knowledge.
- Requires almost daily classroom computer/Internet access.
- Requires English as the primary working language.
- Provides monitoring and online support.
- Program schedule is October through March.
- Limited to 100 teams (300 schools).
- Team websites will be judged and prizes will
be awarded.
- Team websites will be hosted on Global Virtual Classroom servers
in order to assure future access to student work.

- The main activity is up to you. The GVC Clubhouse is non-competitive.
- Aimed at primary and secondary schools students (age 7-18)
- Emphasizes cultural exchange and collaborative activities, undertaken
at your own pace (you determine the schedule).
- There is no limit nor minimum on the number of schools participating
in a particular clubhouse.
- Requires some teacher facilitation (level is up to you)
- Suitable for teachers and students of any technical skill level.
- Does not require heavy computer/Internet access (weekly access is
suggested)
- Can use any language.
- Does not provide monitoring; online support provided on request.
- No fixed schedule. Program is available year-round.
- No limit on number of clubs.
